UDD protestors told to leave rally sites by 3 pm

BANGKOK, 17 May 2010 (NNT) – The Centre for the Resolution of the Emergency Situaion (CRES) has warned the UDD protestors to leave the rally sites in Bangkok by 3 pm this afternoon or they will face a two-year jail term.

The warning comes in a statement announced via all free TV stations this morning.

The statement said that protestors who are willing to leave the rally sites by the deadline will be assisted by authorities to ensure their safe journey home.

As for those insisting to stay in the area, the statement said they would be liable to a maximum jail term of two years. It also indicated that remaining in the rally sites would be dangerous because there were terrorists hiding among them and attempting to inflict loss of lives and injuries.
