Thailand celebrates a festive Christmas

BANGKOK, 25 December 2009 (NNT) – This year’s tallest Christmas tree in Asia is in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 30-meter Christmas tree, the tallest one in Asia, was set in the compound of Central World, one of the biggest shopping centers in Asia. More than 10,000 light decorations around Bangkok attracted many tourists and locals while creating a festive atmosphere for those who are celebrating Christmas in Bangkok.

In addition to this, the biggest ice dome was built in Hat Yai district of Songkhla province, the southernmost province of Thailand, for this year’s Christmas celebrations. The ice dome is maintained at a temperature of minus 15 Degrees Celsius, while ice lamp sculptures will also be exhibited.
