Surat Thani sees improvement in flu situation
SURAT THANI, 27 September 2009 (NNT) – The situation of the Influenza A (H1N1) outbreak in Surat Thani has improved, according to Surat Thani Public Health officer Nattawut Prasertsiripong.
Dr. Nattawut pointed out that virus infected people had been found in only 4 districts out of the province’s 19 districts during the past two weeks. The new flu patients were found in Mueang, Chai Buri, Phunphin, and Kanchanadit districts. He said only 2 infected patients were confirmed on 25 September.
From 17 June 2009 up to now, Surat Thani had seen all 291 flu patients with three fatal cases.
