SRT admits red line train extension 2% delayed

BANGKOK, 27 August 2009 (NNT) – The Whip Chairman has assured that the 2010 Budget Bill will be finalized before the end of the current Parliament session despite strong calls for further revision.

Whip Chairman Chinavorn Boonyakiat said this morning that Parliament had allotted adequate time for debate over the 2010 Budget Bill. He commented that if the Opposition attempted to obstruct the bill, the Government would use its majority numbers to bypass the party. On rumors of conflict with the coalition Bhumjaithai party over the bill, Mr. Chinaworn said that the party had already given its word it would help pass the budget alongside the Democrat party and other coalition members.

The Government Whip is confident the 2010 Budget bill review will go smoothly.
