SME development plan to help GDP and export figures

BANGKOK, 25 January 2010 (NNT) – The Prime Minister has disclosed expectations that the country’s gross domestic product will grow by 3.5% with export to expand by 14% this year.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva stated that the government is planning to push forward with tackling debt-related problems and devise a development framework for enhancing competitiveness to small and medium businesses. He projected that the economy will likely rise by at least 3.5% in 2010 after debt problems are eased and the SME development plan is implemented.

The PM voiced his impressions on the economy as a lead up to the “Thailand SME EXPO 2010″, which will be held from 28-31 January 2010 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
