PM indicates readiness to dissolve house
By k on January 15, 2010
BANGKOK, 15 January 2010 (NNT) – Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has admitted political uncertainty in the future but has once again voiced readiness to dissolve the house if all sides abide by law and operate under the regulations.
Speaking at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand, Prime Minister Abhisit admitted that he did not know about the future of politics, but he wanted people in the nation to stand united. He added that he was ready to dissolve the house if all sides would follow the laws.
The prime minister added that his government had been flexible with its administration and heeded all demands but not all demands could be granted. He reasoned that at present, protesters were not calling for democracy but were doing things for the benefit of only one person.
Prime Minister Abhisit believed that supporters of deposed Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra would intensify their movement upon the upcoming ruling deliverance of the 76 billion THB asset seizure case on 26 February. He however pledged not to let anyone die from the incident.
