PM to attract Chinese investors to Thailand

BANGKOK, 23 June 2009 (NNT) – Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva will persuade Chinese investors to plough their money in Thailand during his official visit to China from 24 to 27 June 2009.

Government Spokesman Panitan Wattanayakorn stated that Prime Minister Abhisit will use his official visit to China from 24 to 27 June to emphasize on investment and tourism. The premier will discuss with his Chinese counterpart, Mr. Wen Jiabao, over various issues and will together sign mutual agreements on commerce and education.

Mr Abhisit is scheduled to provide information about Thai agricultural products as part of the stimulation of the agricultural sector. Concurrently, he will also give speeches at the ‘Amazing Thailand, Amazing Value’ and the ‘Confidence in Thailand’ fairs, have dinner with Chinese leading businessmen, and give interviews to the Chinese media.
