KBank makes deeper foray into bill payment territory with fast lane at 750 branches

Mr. Pakorn Partanapat, KASIKORNBANK Executive Vice President, announces KBank bill payment Fast Lanes providing customer convenience, no queuing number needed. The introductory promotion, Doraemon: Pay Your Bills Quickly!, running through November 30, 2012, awards stickers that customers can exchange for special gifts at 750 KBank branches nationwide.

KASIKORNBANK is providing maximum convenience with bill-payment Fast Lanes opening at 750 branches nationwide through which customers can pay a variety of bills quickly and with no queuing number. A popular cartoon character has been enlisted to promote the Fast Lanes through the Doraemon: Pay Your Bills Quickly! campaign. Customers using the service earn stickers that can be exchanged for gifts. The Bank is targeting a 20 percent growth in fee receipts through this program.

 

According to Mr. Pakorn Partanapat, KASIKORNBANK Executive Vice President, bill payments in Thailand total 370 million transactions a year. Of these, 31% are through direct debiting, and the remainder through a variety of other service channels.

KBank believes that the bill-payment market has high growth potential. A KBank survey of customers utilizing the Bank branches indicates that customers would prefer a one-stop, fast bill payment service. In response, the Bank is making a deeper foray into this market with bill-payment Fast Lanes offering customers convenience and time savings. Customers need not access a queuing number to utilize the Fast Lanes.

The Bank has enlisted the hit cartoon character for the Doraemon: Pay Your Bills Quickly! promotion. Customers collect stickers, one sticker each payment, to exchange for gifts from the Doraemon special collection. Customers who pay their bills at K-ATMs, may exchange the ATM slips for stickers at the Bank branches. Customers earn three stickers with each application for a direct debit payment. The promotion continues through November 30, 2012.

Payments through the Fast Lane can be made to over 800 companies for just about everything, from water, electricity, land-line and mobile phone service, internet, and cable TV to credit card and instalment payments. The Bank is targeting 20 percent growth in fee receipts through this program.
