KBank introduces K-Express Credit Center for fast credit approvals and cash withdrawals.

KASIKORNBANK is offering innovative branch services through K-Express Credit Center, a new service model designed especially for retail customers with swift and flexible services for home loans, credit cards, auto financing and personal loans. For the personal loan scheme, cash withdrawals are enabled one hour after approval, while a financial advisory service is available for debt management planning. The first K-Express Credit Center has opened at Pantip Plaza, Bangkapi.

KASIKORNBANK Executive Vice President Mr. Chatchai Payuhanaveechai said KBank’s consumer credits have been consistently enhanced to serve the needs of the middle-income target group (whose monthly income is 15,000 Baht or higher). According to the Bank’s customer survey, they need advice in debt management planning, qualifying for loan approvals and the need for urgent loans.

Therefore, KBank is introducing K-Express Credit Center especially for retail customers, where sale officials are available with advisory service covering four main products: K-Home Loan; K-Credit Card; K-Express Cash and K-Auto Finance (Refinance). Unlike other typical branches, operational procedures at this center will be extremely flexible, offering a new business model for loans under the Bank of Thailand’s regulations.

The K-Express Credit Center will become renowned for its exceptional service speed. Retail customers will know the pre-approval and final approval results for loans faster than they are used to experiencing at normal branches. For K-Home Loans, pre-approval results will be known within one business day, as opposed to the three business days currently taken by normal branch services.

As for K-Credit Card and K-Express Cash, approval results will be known within two hours, compared to five to seven business days of the turnaround time for normal branches. K-Express Cash customers can withdraw cash within one hour of approval, compared to the next business day for normal branch service speed. K-Auto Finance (Refinance)’s approval results will be known within 90 minutes compared to the more usual one day.

Additionally, the K-Express Credit Center provides a financial advisory service covering customer preparation for credit applications, loan selection criteria to meet their financial goals, and personal finance management to avoid too high household debts. The first K-Express Credit Center will open at Pantip Plaza, Bangkapi, every day, between 10.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. For rapid approval results, customers are recommended to apply for loans with required documents from 10.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., while those who wish to access approved funds under the K-Express Credit plan, are recommended to complete their applications between 10.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m.

Mr. Chatchai added that unlike typical branches where deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers and loan services are available, K-Express Credit Center will exclusively offer consumer loans, resulting in higher flexibility with better and faster services for retail customers. There are almost 1 million retail customers applying for loan services at the Bank’s branches each year. The operational results of this pilot K-Express Credit Center will be employed for the opening of future credit centers. Four more centers are expected to open within the next year.

The Bank’s credits under K-Home Loan registered 24 billion Baht in the first half of 2013, against the entire-year target of 48 billion Baht, whilst new credit card customers were reported at 362,000 over the same period, compared to total new card target of 650,000. The K-Express Cash card issuance in the first half of 2013 was an estimated 200,000 which is expected to total 1 million cardholders by the end of the year. Over the first eight months of 2013, there were 11,000 vehicle owners applying for K-Auto Finance (Refinance) which is likely to reach an estimated 20,000 vehicles,  by the end of 2013.
