JFCCT urges officials to clarify the suspended 76 Map Ta Put projects
BANGKOK, 21 October 2009 (NNT) – The Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT) Chairman stated the Thai environmental law is up to international standards.
JFCCT Chairman, Nandor von der Luehe stated that the existing Thai environmental law is already up to international standards. Proprietors with official permits have undergone strict regulations.
The Chairman stated that the government must increase funding in the rural areas to enhance the quality of life of the workers there. He also emphasized that the ongoing legal issue of the 76 suspended industrial projects in Map Ta Put industrial district must be solved with haste and clarity. Any delays will continue to affect the confidence of investors.
