Imperial preserves Traditional Songkran Custom

Thailand, Bangkok – Imperial Hotels preserve Songkran Traditions of the Thais, celebrate Thai New Year with customary historical style.

 

“Being the Thai Hotel chain, we would like to preserve and promote the Thai traditions customary from its origin”, Mr Fredrick Arul, the Executive Vice President of the TCC Hotel Group said, “the Thai new year is spiritually very important to the Thais.  We want to showcase their beliefs and history behind the existing traditions today.  It is not just the water festival, foreigners and tourists need to understand the complexity behind these beautiful and meaningful practices.”

 

Imperial Hotels organize for its guest staying at the hotel during 12 – 16 April 2013, the traditional way to celebrate Songkran Festival.  Arriving with the traditional refreshments in the hotel lobby, guests are welcomed to bathing the Buddha image for the blessing for year ahead.  Traditional meals of the Summer will be served throughout.  The spiritual history will be told, traditions will be repeated through each hotel’s local wisdom.
