PM to meet with US Secretary of State this evening

BANGKOK, 21 July 2009 (NNT) – The Prime Minister will today attend a much anticipated Cabinet meeting before meeting with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Prime Minister, Abhisit Vejjajiva, this morning met with the ambassadors to Thailand of Australia and Switzerland who have both ended their stay of duty. He is scheduled to chair a much anticipated Cabinet meeting at mid-day, set to tackle several key issues concerning the public well-being and also film a television program celebrating National Thai Language Day.

In the early evening today Mr. Abhisit will meet with the US Secretary of State at Government House who is visiting Thailand for the first time since taking on her position. Mrs Clinton will travel to Phuket province to attend the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Wednesday.
