Cabinet to discuss impacts of Dubai financial crisis
By k on November 28, 2009
BANGKOK, 28 November 2009 (NNT) – The Prime Minister instructed involved parties to closely monitor the consequences of the financial crisis in Dubai and Vietnam’s Dong currency devaluation.
Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva referred to the case of Dubai financial crisis that constant monitoring had to be made on the economic impacts with evaluation of the damage. Additionally, the devaluation of Dong currency of Vietnam could also affect Thai competitiveness for some products in the world market.
As for the rumor on 1,400 million THB loan cancellation to Cambodia, Mr Abhisit affirmed that no cancellation on such matter was made from the Thai side, it might be a misunderstanding by Cambodia itself.
However, all mentioned issues would be discussed at the economic cabinet meeting this coming Wednesday.
