Gen Anupong adheres to principles in HM the King´s royal speech

BANGKOK, 6 December 2009 (NNT) – Army Commander-in-Chief General Anupong Paochinda welcomed His Majesty the King’s royal speech about duties towards building a peaceful nation.

General Anupong stated that the atmosphere of the country had been ruined by prolonged turbulence, mainly affecting the economy and society. He then vowed that the army would abide by the King’s royal speech, addressed on the occasion of the HM the King’s 82nd Birthday Anniversary to stand on duties for upholding national reconciliation and maintaining peace in the country.

General Anupong continued to say that the King’s royal speech was a good reminder, as it urged everyone to understand each other and to perform their duties to the best of their ability for the nation’s stability and further advancement.

General Anupong said that it was a good idea if the government would publicize His Majesty’s royal speech, adding that the army would give full support in distributing it to the public.
