State enterprises remit income of 5.7 bn baht in June

Director of State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO) Mr Areepong Pucha-oom revealed that state enterprises had sent income of 5.76 billion baht to the government, 1.9 billion baht above the target, which reflected recovery from last month. 

The top five state enterprises sending the most income were Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) 2.5 billion baht, Government Lottery Office (GLO) 1.2 billion baht, Metropolitan Electricity Authority 911 million baht, Port Authority of Thailand 600 million baht, and Provincial Electricity Authority 470 million baht. 

For a total of nine months from October 2008 to June 2009, the government had received income from state enterprises at more than 62.2 billion baht and it was expected that in the whole year the income remitted to the government would not be much different from the target of 93 billion baht.

Consumer confidence plunges first time in 4 months
