People flocking to OTOP CITY 2009
By k on December 20, 2009
BANGKOK, 20 December 2009 (NNT) – Entrepreneurs from the government-initiated One Tambon One Product (OTOP) project ask the government to promote the “OTOP CITY 2009″ fair more to boost their sales. Scores of people are visiting the event today.
The fair features locally-produced goods from the project. Most of the visitors today said they came to buy goods as New Year presents. The products they bought range from luxurious items such as silk, silverwares, picture frames, and artificial flower vases to small and low-priced goods such as ceramic dolls, key holders, and fabric bags.
The OTOP entrepreneurs said they hoped their sales would be higher than the previous two OTOP fairs earlier this year.
The OTOP CITY 2009 will run until 27 December 2009 at Muang Thong Thani. Northeastern, central, eastern, and western products are displayed at Challenger 1-3 while northern and southern products are available at Exhibition Center Hall 1-6.
