Brightstar and RIM Expand Availability of BlackBerry Products in Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand – September 27, 2012 – Brightstar Corp. today announced it has expanded its existing global relationship with Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) to distribute BlackBerry® products and provide support services in Thailand.

Brightstar’s network of operators and retailers in Thailand, coupled with its value-added distribution services, will help RIM further increase its channel reach by making BlackBerry smartphones, accessories and software even more accessible throughout the country. Brightstar will initially supply the BlackBerry® Bold™ 9790, BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 and BlackBerry® Curve™ 9220 smartphones in Thailand.

 

 

Brightstar and RIM have been working together to provide comprehensive product training, in-store marketing support and point-of-sale materials to Brightstar’s distribution partners in Thailand in order to deliver an optimum shopping experience for customers throughout the country.
