BlackBerry showcases winning designs from “BlackBerry Charm Design Contest”

These charms are now available to customers who purchase a new BlackBerry Curve 9220 and/or BlackBerry Curve 9320 smartphone at the BlackBerry Lifestyle Store by Jaymart, Siam Paragon.  The contest was hosted on www.jeban.com, which featured a total of 49 original customer designs and has generated more than 6,000 views online.

 

Bangkok, Thailand – Earlier this year, BlackBerry celebrated the launch of its stylish new smartphones – the BlackBerry® Curve™ 9320 and BlackBerry® Curve™ 9220 by hosting the “BlackBerry Charm Design Contest”. The contest was run in partnership with www.jeban.com, a leading women’s website in Bangkok, and cutting-edge artist, Hathairat Charoenchaichana (popularly known as Oh-Futon), who also took part in creating her own exclusive charm design.

 

BlackBerry’s goal for the contest was to encourage consumers to show off their design talent by creating unique charms for the new BlackBerry Curve 9320 and Curve 9220 smartphones.  The contest ran from 28 May – 15 June 2012.

 

A total of 48 participants took part in the 20-day contest, submitting a total of 49 original designs which later gained more than 6,000 online views and 67 visitor comments referring to the campaign.

 

The top three designs that earned the most votes from the public and Jeban editors were the Crystal, Black Cat and White Cat designs. As a result, each winner won a BlackBerry Curve 9320 smartphone. Additionally, their designs were produced and are now being given away to customers with the purchase of a new BlackBerry device at the BlackBerry Lifestyle Store by Jaymart, Siam Paragon, along with Oh-Futon’s charm.
