Finance Ministry to issue more bonds in Oct-Nov

BANGKOK, 31 August 2009 (NNT) – The Ministry of Finance weighed issuing the second lot of bonds sometimes between October and November this year.

The Public Debt Management’s Deputy Director-general Chakkrit Pharaphanthakul said the bond issuance would be the means to refinance the national debt by the Finance Ministry’s rolling out more bonds to mobilize funds.

Mr. Chakkrit said the second lot of bonds would be financed by the loans worth 30 billion baht from local commercial banks and state banks. He said the discussion over the loans would be conducted next week.
