Banking and Finance Committee to follow up Strong Thai Scheme in Phayao.

BANGKOK, 31 October 2009 (NNT) – The House Banking & Finance Committee were in Phayao to follow up the 2012 Strong Thailand fund in the province.
Chairman of the Committee, Mr Surapong Tovichakchaikul, and the team attended a meeting on the arrangement of Strong Thailand fund in Phayao. Phayao Governor Mr Cherdsak Chusri and representatives from related authorities were also at the meeting.
The Strong Thailand Scheme 2012 covered 26 projects with six sections to be improved. A total of Bt 1,099 million will be fairly allocated. The province affirmed the transparency of the process with the official procurements. However, the Committee found that some areas in Phayao and Nong Khai have still not received any of the Strong Thailand fund.
The fund allocated for Phayao covered seven projects in the area of water resources, four projects in the area of transportation, ten projects in the area of education, two projects in the area of social welfare, two projects in the area of public health and another project in the area of public health recruitment.
