Abhisit Thai political peacemaker

BANGKOK, 27 September 2009 (NNT) – Foreign media lauds Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva as a “Man In The Middle”, a mediator of different political groups, and a refresher of Thai democracy.

Time’s reporter in Thailand, Hannah Beech, said political conflict in Thailand was not caused by Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva. In contrast, Mr. Abhisit had been fully determined to rehabilitate the democratic regime in Thailand.

The article also stated that Thai politics in this period remained unstable. It regarded the Prime Minister as a peacemaker, creating reconciliation between groups with different political stances, with transparency and a corruption-free policy.
